Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 4, 2026 · Last updated: May 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sol Connection (“Sol Connection,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the Southern California water-treatment arm of Honest Water Co., collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit cleanwaterconnect.com (the “Site”), call or text us, request a quote, schedule a consultation, or have us install or service equipment in your home (collectively, the “Services”). It also describes your privacy rights under California law — including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”) — and how to exercise them.

By using the Site or Services you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

1. Who we are

Sol Connection is a residential water-treatment company serving Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, and southwest San Bernardino counties. We sell, install, and service whole-home water softeners, salt-free conditioners, and reverse-osmosis drinking-water systems. For privacy questions you can reach us at privacy@cleanwaterconnect.com or (951) 383-6421.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information. The categories track the definitions in California Civil Code § 1798.140.

2.1 Identifiers

Name, mailing address, service address, email address, mobile and landline phone numbers, IP address, device identifiers, and account or customer numbers we assign you.

2.2 Customer-records information (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80)

Billing address, signature on installation paperwork, payment card last-four and expiration (we do not store full card numbers; payment data is processed by PCI-compliant processors), bank account information you provide for financing, and government identifiers if required for permits or rebates.

2.3 Commercial information

Records of products considered or purchased, service history, warranty registrations, financing applications, and communications about transactions.

2.4 Internet or other electronic network activity information

Pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, referring URLs, browser and operating system information, search terms, time spent on pages, and interactions with our forms, chat widget, and SMS programs.

2.5 Geolocation data

Approximate location derived from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates from your device.

2.6 Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information

Recordings of phone calls (when you are notified at the start of the call), voicemails, photographs of your home or installation site that you or our technicians take, and chat transcripts.

2.7 Inferences

Inferences we draw about your home, water condition, suitable equipment, and likely service interest based on the information you provide and information about your address (for example, the municipal water source serving your zip code).

2.8 Sensitive personal information

We may collect a limited subset of sensitive personal information, specifically: precise financial-account information for financing applications and government identifiers (for example, a driver’s license number) if a permit, rebate, or financing partner requires it. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and as permitted by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121, and you may direct us to limit its use as described in Section 9.

2.9 Information we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect information about minors under 16, biometric identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, immigration status, or union membership. We do not collect health-care information protected by HIPAA.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you (when you fill out a form, call us, text us, chat with our online widget, or sign installation paperwork), automatically through cookies and similar technologies, from our service providers (for example, the booking and SMS platform we use), and from publicly available sources (for example, county property records or municipal water-utility data) when needed to evaluate your installation.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, schedule consultations and installations, and deliver the Services you request.
  • Send transactional communications such as appointment confirmations, technician arrival notifications, installation paperwork, invoices, warranty registrations, service reminders, and customer-support replies.
  • Send promotional communications, including SMS, email, and phone calls, when you have given consent. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time as described in Section 5.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, including debugging, fraud prevention, and analytics.
  • Personalize content and offers, including by using automated tools and AI as described in Section 7.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax, permit, rebate, financing-disclosure, and consumer-protection requirements.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, including enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • With your consent, for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection.

We will not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we will not use any personal information for purposes that are materially different from, or incompatible with, the purposes for which it was collected without providing notice to you.

5. SMS, mobile information, and your consent

When you submit your mobile phone number through a form on this Site, request a quote by phone, or text our published number, you may receive transactional and promotional text messages from Sol Connection regarding your inquiry, appointment, or installation. Some messages are sent by automated systems, and we may use AI tools to draft, personalize, or route messages. All messages are sent through licensed messaging service providers acting on our behalf.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or messaging delivery, is permitted. All other categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency: Up to 10 messages per month per active inquiry or installation. Frequency may vary based on your interaction with us.

Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.

Opt out: Reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe. After replying STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further promotional messages.

Help: Reply HELP to any text message for assistance, or contact us at (951) 383-6421 or support@cleanwaterconnect.com.

Carrier disclaimer: Carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Transactional messages directly related to a purchase or scheduled appointment may be sent in connection with the underlying transaction even if you have opted out of promotional messages.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

6.1 Service providers

We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf under written contracts that restrict their use of the information. These include hosting and analytics providers, our customer-relationship-management platform, our SMS and email delivery providers, our chat-widget provider, payment processors, financing partners, e-signature providers, field-service-management software, mapping and routing services, and similar.

6.2 Affiliates

We may share information with our parent brand Honest Water Co. and its other regional operations for back-office support (accounting, warehousing, dealer training). Affiliates are contractually required to honor this Privacy Policy.

6.3 Legal disclosures

We may disclose information when required to comply with law, respond to a subpoena or government request, protect our rights or property, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.

6.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality protections.

6.5 With your consent

We share information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction.

6.6 “Sale” and “sharing” under CCPA/CPRA

In the previous 12 months we have not sold personal information for monetary consideration and we have not shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do use cookies and similar technologies that may, depending on your browser settings, transmit identifiers and site-activity data to third-party analytics or advertising vendors. Where applicable, you can opt out using the mechanisms described in Section 9.

We do not and will not share, transfer, lease, or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in / consent data to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Automated processing and AI

We use automated tools, including artificial-intelligence systems, to operate our business. Specifically:

  • Lead scoring and routing. We use rules and predictive models to prioritize follow-up with prospective customers based on the information they provide. These tools do not produce legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Message drafting and personalization. Our customer-service representatives may use AI assistants to draft, summarize, translate, or personalize text and email messages. A human reviews material communications before they are sent in any non-routine matter.
  • Conversational chat. Our website chat widget may use automated responses, including AI-generated replies, for common questions. You can request a human at any time. Chat transcripts are retained as described in Section 13.
  • System configuration recommendations. We use models to suggest equipment configurations based on your inputs. Final pricing and configuration are confirmed with a human representative before installation.

We do not use automated processing for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement. If California regulations on automated decision-making technology require additional disclosures or opt-outs, we will provide them.

8. Cookies, analytics, and online tracking

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure performance, and where you have consented or where the law allows (including for first-party analytics) to understand how visitors interact with the Site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the Site may not work correctly. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal for visitors located in California: when GPC is detected, we treat it as an opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined in CCPA/CPRA.

9. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights below. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@cleanwaterconnect.com or call (951) 383-6421. We will verify your identity using information already in our records (typically the name, phone number, and email associated with your account or inquiry). We will respond within 45 days, with a one-time 45-day extension when reasonably necessary, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

  • Right to know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the previous 12 months, the sources, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete. Request that we delete personal information we have about you, subject to permitted exceptions (for example, to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or detect security incidents).
  • Right to correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Direct us not to sell or share your personal information. As stated in Section 6, we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising; this right is honored automatically and additionally through GPC.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. Direct us to limit use of sensitive personal information to purposes specified in Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny services, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service for exercising any of these rights.
  • Right to data portability. Receive a copy of personal information you provided in a portable, structured, commonly used format.
  • Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written authorization and may verify your identity directly with you.

10. California Shine the Light

California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request a notice describing what categories of personal information we have shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To request a notice confirming this, email privacy@cleanwaterconnect.com.

11. Children’s privacy

The Site and Services are intended for adults age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not sell or share personal information of minors under 16 within the meaning of CCPA/CPRA. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, email us and we will delete it.

12. Data security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. These include encryption in transit, role-based access controls for our internal systems, vendor security review, and incident-response procedures. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Services and warranty support, complying with legal obligations (for example, tax retention), resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. Inquiry records are typically retained for up to 36 months after last contact. Customer installation, warranty, and financial records are retained for the life of the warranty plus the period required by California tax and consumer-protection law. Marketing-consent records are retained for the life of the consent plus four years. SMS opt-in / opt-out records are retained for at least four years to demonstrate compliance.

14. Third-party links and services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and embed third-party services (for example, the booking widget and the chat widget). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies before providing information.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or by a notice on the Site).
